Datalink have developed a new mobile reporting app for Crisisworks, which runs on iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
The app allows for on-the-ground rapid-impact and post-impact reporting, whether or not you have 3G coverage. It can also be used in mitigation and preparedness phases, for example in surveying the municipality and reporting on unsafe fuel build-ups on private land. The reports feed into Crisisworks in the form of Activities which can then be managed, filtered, managed and communicated within your EOC, or to external agencies, using the same techniques as handling requests, information and other activity types.
The app is a free download from the app store, but will require a mobile user license to connect and share back to a Crisisworks installation. It is expected into the App Store in August 2012.
Here's a 5 minute video with an overview of the tool.
Edit: Release is now expected in November 2012
